I’m Frank O., an independent artist from Germany. I write and record my own music, driven by a simple idea: a good song should feel honest, memorable and alive. My music has developed through different influences rather than following one fixed genre. Rock has always been an important foundation, while Britpop, Alternative Rock, Pop Punk, Punk Rock, Country-Rock and acoustic songwriting have all found their way into my music. I’m especially inspired by guitar-driven music from the 1990s and by artists who combine strong melodies with an authentic and direct sound. Over time, I’ve released songs that explore very different sides of my musical personality. Some are energetic and guitar-heavy, while others are quieter acoustic songs. I don’t see these different directions as separate identities; they are simply different expressions of the same approach to songwriting. “We Are The People” represents the Rock side of my music. It has a distinct 1990s influence, driven by guitars, vocals and a strong, memorable chorus. The song is about breaking free, feeling alive and moving forward. My goal as an independent artist is not to fit perfectly into one category, but to create music that connects through melody, emotion and honest performance. I write because I enjoy the process of turning an idea into a finished song, and because there is something special about hearing a song come alive and then sharing it with other people. For me, independent music is about keeping that personal connection throughout the whole process — from the first idea and songwriting to recording and finally putting the music out into the world.
"“We Are The People” is a guitar-driven Rock song with a clear 1990s influence. The project started with the idea of creating a direct and energetic song built around strong guitars, melody and a memorable chorus. I wrote and recorded the song independently, developing the arrangement around the guitars and vocals rather than aiming for an overly polished production. My influences include Alternative Rock and 1990s Rock, with a focus on the raw energy and straightforward songwriting of that era. The song is about breaking free, feeling alive and finding the strength to move forward. It represents the more energetic Rock side of my music as an independent artist from Germany."
